How did the school support your craft?
Apeejay School supported me by providing me with different types of instruments and also gave me a chance to sing in front of thousands of people on stage. All this boosted my confidence so much that now I can perform anytime, anywhere. The school gave me the best teachers who taught me everything related to not only singing but also about how to maintain discipline along with facilities that all singers must have.
What does music mean to you?
Music is not only about sur and taal. for me, it is my life. It has always been a therapy and has boosted my confidence by releasing stress. During exam, I listen to music to keep my mind fresh since it has some positive vibes to it

Who is your inspiration?
My inspiration is my mother. She taught me everything about music. Her voice is very pleasant and calm too. She has been the force behind my pursuit of music.
Who is your favourite singer?
I like Sufi music and that’s why my favourite singer is Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. His sargams and alaap used to be just mind-blowing.
How has music changed your life?
It has helped me to deal with different hardships of life. Music also soothes my mind whenever I am in a state of tension. Whenever I am happy or sad, each musical note helps me to release my emotions.
When did you start learning music?
I started learning music in nursery and since then I have been learning it. My guru gave me a chance to sing at a school function and then I went to Apeejay School Noida for a competition. From there, two teachers honed me further. I received the first position in solo singing competitions twice.
Do you want to pursue music professionally?
I have not decided yet but I think I want to represent my school and family on the national and international stage.
