Mathematics is not just a subject; it’s a workout for the mind. Tackling equations, puzzles, and logical challenges hones critical thinking, sharpens memory, and accelerates mental agility. Taking this Math love ahead, these two arithmeticians from Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park have cultivated patience, focus, and resilience, which shaped their disciplined and confident personality.
Meet Swati and Trishika Raj Singh of Class V and Class IV respectively who as a team won hearts and accolades during the Math Quest competition held at Apeejay School, Saket.
Speaking about the activity they both performed, Trishika shared, “I recently participated in the Rang-a-Sacred-Geometry competition and represented Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park in this competition. I felt happy and proud when I heard that I had won first position. Winning the prize was unexpected because I participated in the competition for love of creativity. It was a big surprise and I couldn’t stop smiling. I worked very hard so it felt a really proud moment to be appreciated as it was a somewhat surrealistic moment, filled with happiness and excitement.”

The inception of the idea was also no mean feat as they both were gauged on their creativity along with mental agility. “The idea came in our mind by reading carefully the topic which was (Rang-O-Sacred Geometry) scared means a 3D illusion so we did that. I blended hexagons and diamond shapes to create a bright, colourful star like design in perfect harmony. I chose red, yellow, orange and white to show a perfect blend of geometry and art, showing how creativity can come together in perfect harmony and showing how creativity can be both educational and fun,” shared Swati.
So what about the challenges that came along the way?
“The most challenging part was to complete the illusion on time because it is the most confusing drawing. We overcome by trusting ourselves,”Iterated Swati.
As they both are riding high on their achievements, they didn’t fail to acknowledge how their teachers lent them unconditional support.
“My teachers in Apeejay School helped me and guided me throughout the artwork by providing valuable suggestions and feedback. My art teacher fully supported and guided me with ideas and creativity. My Math teacher explained how to use geometric tools properly. My class teacher encouraged me to do my best and my parents motivated me to keep practicing and stay confident. It helped me refine my technique and creative process so I could be a better presence in the artwork,” mentioned Trishika.
