He has already imbibed valuable virtues like discipline, punctuality, dedication, and sincerity by knowing the true worth of his prudence. Meet Suveer Hooda who is studying in class IV at Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri. In a candid interview, he happily shares how his teachers have helped him sail through the challenges of academics smoothly.

How do you feel after receiving the scholar badge?

I am thrilled and excited after receiving the scholar badge. For me, it is a matter of great pride and privilege that a small token of excellence has been awarded to me for my performance in class. On receiving this badge, I have also made my parents proud because they too assist me in  academic aspects and also groomed me well

Share your preparation strategy.

To be very candid,  I do not believe in doing preparation just before exam day. So, I keep myself prepared by doing revisions daily along with routine homework. I do learn things and write and re-write daily. I believe in writing things the way I shall be presenting them on paper on final exam day. This type of preparation boosted my writing skills, assisted in time management and finally made me confident of doing well on the exam day.

Which is your favourite subject?

My favourite subject is Social Science (SST) because  I am a passionate learner of historical things about our country’s rich culture and heritage. I am also interested in knowing about worldwide activities. Apart from this, since class II my father has gifted me Oxford atlas which I do read in my free time, and that’s how my interest got generated in this subject. And lastly, I would like to give credit to my teachers who teach us this subject and explain every small aspect immaculately.

What’s your ambition?

Since childhood, I have seen my father in the Army uniform, so I am fascinated towards the olive green military uniform. I do hear about my father’s experience of serving in various frontiers of our nation, like, Line of Control in Jammu & Kasmir, Border areas of North-Eastern  States, so I am determined to join Indian  Army as an officer after my schooling by clearing National Defence Academy Examination.

How did the teachers support you?

For my scholar badge as well as for my academic performance to date, I would like to give full credit to all the teachers. My teachers simplistically explain every aspect by giving appropriate examples which helps me in better understanding and I don’t need to mug up things. I also never hesitate in approaching my teachers again and again till my doubt clears up and even my teachers support my approach of going in depth to understand things.
