Meet Taksh Saini, at present studying in class VIII at Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park. In a candid interview, he shares how he wants to pursue this sport on professional platforms.

Tell us something about your achievements in judo.
I am 12 years old and have been practicing judo for over a year now. Despite being relatively new to the sport, I achieved a Bronze medal in the CBSE Judo Competition. This accomplishment reflects my commitment, hard work, and passion for improving my skills in this challenging and rewarding sport.
Share your training regime.
The training regime involves a disciplined five-day schedule focusing on perfecting techniques, engaging in sparring sessions to build strategy and reflexes, and enhancing overall fitness through targeted exercises and conditioning routines.

How has judo changed your life personally?

Any special diet you follow?
My diet focuses on high-protein foods to support muscle recovery and growth, balanced with essential nutrients like carbohydrates and healthy fats for energy. I ensure proper hydration throughout the day to maintain optimal performance and overall health.
Would you like to take up judo professionally in future?
I aspire to pursue judo professionally, dedicating myself to rigorous training and competition. My goal is to represent my country on international platforms, achieving excellence through hard work, discipline, and a relentless pursuit of mastery in the sport.
Who is your inspiration and guru?
I am deeply inspired by my sports teacher, whose guidance and dedication have played a pivotal role in my growth as an athlete. Her motivational approach and unwavering support have encouraged me to push my limits and excel.
