Today’s young learners are achieving remarkable milestones at an early age, excelling both in academics and co-curricular activities. Their enthusiasm, dedication, and creativity are truly inspiring. These early successes not only build a strong foundation for their future but also highlight the nurturing environment provided by schools and families. Here’s a glimpse into one such bright student, Saanvi Dharav Devani, a student of Apeejay School, Kharghar.

At just five years old, she has achieved several milestones. Her academic achievements include scoring a centum in English, Hindi, and EVS, as well as receiving gold medals. Her other achievements include Hindi Storytelling (1st rank), English Recitation (3rd rank), and Handwriting Competition (consolation prize). In a candid interview, she talks about her journey and how she wants to be a Computer Engineer just like her father.

How did you feel when you got 100 marks in so many subjects?

I felt super happy and so excited! I even did a little happy dance because these were my very first gold medals! The best part is that I love learning new words in English! It’s so much fun!

Was any subject a little hard? How did you manage to learn it?

Yes, sometimes EVS feels a little tricky. But my teacher and my mother help me understand, and I keep trying again and again!

Can you tell us about the story you narrated in the Hindi Storytelling competition?

Yes! It was about a little rabbit and his friendship (Chhota Kharghosh Aur Uski Dosti). The story teaches us that helping others makes us true friends. I even used actions and made animal sounds!

How did you prepare for the English Recitation competition?

I practised every day with my mother. We stood in front of the mirror, and I said the poem loudly with many expressions! For the Handwriting Competition, I wrote a short paragraph that my teacher gave us. I tried to write each letter very neatly and slowly.

How did you feel when your name was announced as the winner?

I felt like a superstar! I had a big, big smile, and everyone clapped for me!

What’s your favourite part of the school day?

I love story time! We all sit together and listen to fun stories, and sometimes we even act them out!

How do you celebrate when you do well in school?

Sometimes my parents take me for ice cream or cake, and my grandparents buy me new toys! When I get a star at school, they give me a big hug and say they’re very proud of me! It makes me feel so, so happy inside!
