Tell us about your recent achievements.

This year I won third place in judo and kurash competition at the inter-zone level. Last year, I won third place in the same. In the year 2022, I started learning both judo and kurash and won the second position in judo and third in kurash during an inter-school competition.

Share your training regime.

I aim to exercise most days of the week to accommodate physical movement.

How did Apeejay School support your journey?

A teacher at the school introduced me to this sport and encouraged me. My present sports teacher has also played an important role in preparing me well for each competition.

How has Judo changed your life personally?

As a defensive martial artist, judo has helped me learn how to manage my life with diplomacy — how to solve challenges in constructive ways, without ‘hurting’ others. Those skills are helping me act more empathetically toward others at work and in everyday life.

Any special diet you follow?

Not really. I’m consuming homemade food. I eat enough carbs and proteins.

Would you like to take up judo professionally?

Judo can be a great professional tool because it teaches skills that are applicable in the workplace.

Who is your inspiration and guru?

My previous judo teacher is my inspiration. Her hard work has encouraged me to give my best in every competition. She was very supportive.
