Pranav Gupta, a Post Graduate Diploma holder in Finance and Business Management from Apeejay School of Management, Dwarka secured a campus placement at S&P Global as a Client Support Associate. In a quick chat, he reflects on how ASM equipped him to rise to this opportunity—from intensive placement training to embracing a demanding, fast-paced role in the finance sector.

Pranav, how intensive was the placement training process?
It was thorough. The placement cell conducted mock interviews, resume-writing workshops, and skill-enhancement sessions. They worked hard to prepare us and stayed involved every step of the way.

What’s one must-have skill for someone in your field?
A strong understanding of basic financial concepts—reporting standards, statements, and more—is essential. Also, staying updated on industry trends gives you an edge in the finance world.

Walk us through your work responsibilities please.
It’s a hectic day, every day! I manage client requirements, handle finance-related queries, prepare reports, and deliver presentations. It’s a demanding yet fulfilling role.

So, Pranav! What’s next for you?
Right now, I’m enjoying my role and learning a lot. I haven’t planned too far ahead, but I definitely want to grow and do something impactful in the finance space.

Your advice for current ASM students
Step out of your comfort zone! Don’t just rely on college for placements—pursue certifications, sharpen your skills, and build your resume. Hard work outside the classroom truly pays off.
