‘Starlight’: Poem by Parampara Sharma, Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication

They carry specs of starlight in a little silver pot,
They might think that we have something that they do not
The world may say being different is lonely & scary and a shame
But the magic that goes beyond those passing streetlights
And starry moonlights lies in how we are not the same
People may call them strange because
They don’t have something that we have.
But the question is do we?
They come with a stronger faith and richer love
And soon, they’ll know the privilege given
In caring for their gift from heaven
Their precious charge, so meek and mild
Aren’t they the heaven’s very special child?
