International Youth Day shines a spotlight on the energy, potential, and vital role that young individuals play in shaping our world. It serves as a call to action for society to recognise and support the aspirations of the youth, empowering them to become catalysts for positive change. This day provides a platform for acknowledging the diverse talents, voices, and innovations that young people contribute to various fields, ranging from social activism and entrepreneurship to art, science, and beyond.

In line with these principles, the National Service Scheme (NSS) club of Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus (AIMETC), Jalandhar, embraced the spirit of International Youth Day with a heartfelt gesture of compassion. The event witnessed the embodiment of fostering values of social welfare and responsible citizenship.
This was led by Dr. Avnip Deora, the NSS Head of AIMETC, and supported by dedicated faculty members, Mr. Pahulpreet Singh and Ms. Rajveer Kaur from the School of Engineering. The event was a testament to the institute’s mission of creating socially conscious and empathetic leaders of tomorrow.
The core of the event revolved around a noble initiative of donating essential stationery items to the students of Janta High School in Jandusingha. Recognising the power of education in transforming lives, the NSS Club, in collaboration with the students and staff of AIMETC, gathered donations to procure the stationery items for the beneficiaries. This initiative not only reinforced the importance of giving back to the community but also showcased the collaborative spirit and generosity of the institute’s members.

Dr. Rajesh Bagga, the esteemed Director of AIMETC, expressed his heartfelt appreciation for the noble endeavour undertaken by the NSS Club and its members. He highlighted, “Apeejay consistently strives to uphold its social responsibilities, inculcating these values in its students.” The NSS Club, he noted, serves as a remarkable illustration of the institution’s commitment to linking its students to the broader societal welfare.
Lastly, Dr. Bagga commended the NSS volunteers and faculty members for their dedication and meticulous efforts in organising the program.
The event eloquently highlighted the strong sense of community that thrives within AIMETC. The NSS club’s initiative not only extended support to the students of Janta High School but also fortified the sense of social responsibility and empathy among AIMETC’s students. It reiterated the institute’s dedication to nurturing well-rounded individuals who are not only academically accomplished but also socially conscious and compassionate.
The celebration of International Youth Day through this impactful social responsibility programme marked a significant step towards grooming young minds to be conscientious citizens and change-makers. With a strong commitment to both education and social upliftment, the institute continues to create a positive impact on society and inspire future leaders.
