The Minister of Women and Child Development, Smriti Irani, officially launched the early childhood care and education (ECCE) modules designed for children between the ages of 3 and 6, who are enrolled in anganwadi centers. The government has taken the initiative to train anganwadi workers in implementing these modules effectively.

The ECCE modules are aimed at providing comprehensive care and education for young children during their crucial early years. By focusing on this age group, the government will promote holistic development and ensure a strong foundation for children’s future growth and learning.

Called “Poshan bhi padhai bhi”, these modules are in line with the National Education Policy 2020. It has highlighted that over 85% of a child’s cumulative brain development occurs prior to the age of 6.
