‘Since joining Apeejay Noida, my daughter’s confidence has increased many times over’

Anubhav Verma, Manager Operations at Cloudsphere Technologies, is the proud father of Apeejay Noida Nursery student Asmaira Verma. In an interview, he shares his reasons for choosing the school, his daughter’s progress at school and views about the online classes. Edited excerpts:

Why did you choose Apeejay Noida over other schools ?

The first reason is that Apeejay Noida is a really renowned school. I also have a few friends who are Apeejay alumni. I actually find the school to be very responsive and responsible. So, I am very happy with my choice.

Please tell us about your child and take us through her progress

Asmaira is an extrovert by nature. She raises her concerns and successfully puts her point across. She likes to talk, though it takes her some time to open up. Her favourite subject at school is phonetics.

She is always excited to attend her classes. Since Asmaira joined the school, the biggest progress I think is that her confidence has increased multifold. The learning curve is also very good since she has joined the school. The online classes have also been taking place very regularly.

Among her hobbies, dancing is something that she really likes. She has been taking online professional dance classes as well.

Are the teachers engaging well with the students?

Absolutely, all the teachers are teaching very well. I am very satisfied. I would like to mention her class teacher Ms Ritu Sachdeva. She is a very nice teacher.

What is the best thing about Apeejay Noida?

I think the teachers are extremely prompt. They have the syllabus very well described and well iterated, properly listed. Even for a child in Nursery, the syllabus is well prepared for the next session.

The students have not been able to enjoy the school premises. Apeejay Noida has one of the biggest school premises in Noida. Once the school would be open, the students would be able to enjoy the school playground, auditoriums and halls for the different extra-curricular activities, which is one of the USPs of the school.

What is your perception about the online classes?

I am into the IT sector. So, I am aware about how the online classes work. It has been pretty good so far. Of course, the face to face interaction with one’s friends and teachers is always missed. But in a pandemic situation, there is no other alternative. The school uses the Moodle app, through which they take the exams and assignments. They also capture all the beautiful moments of a student’s participation in the extra-curricular activities. They keep the online sessions very interactive and we as parents are also made aware of our child’s progress. It has been a  very nice experience.
