Morning assemblies are more than routine gatherings; they are pivotal in nurturing a sense of community, discipline, and shared values. They offer a platform for students to showcase their talents, promote awareness of current affairs, and instil motivation. Events like these create lasting memories and inspire collective growth.
Recently, Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park, organised a thought-provoking morning assembly on the theme: Where Halls Fade, Legends Remain. The event beautifully captured the essence of legacy, encouraging students to reflect on the enduring impact of character and actions beyond the confines of school life.
The assembly commenced on a spiritual note with the school prayer, followed by a heartfelt musical performance that set a reflective and emotional tone for the morning. The ‘Word of the Day’ and ‘Thought of the Day’ segments introduced meaningful ideas that resonated with the theme. Students then shared the latest national and international news updates, keeping everyone informed and engaged.

A highlight of the event was the powerful speech delivered by a Class XII student, emphasising how everyday actions, leadership, and empathy can transform ordinary lives into memorable legacies. This was followed by a creatively crafted skit, interspersed with melodious singing and high-energy dance performances. The skit vividly depicted how legends are not born but made through courage, kindness, and perseverance.
To further enhance audience participation, a lively quiz segment was included, testing students’ knowledge while keeping the atmosphere upbeat and interactive.
The Vice-principal, Ms Vandana Bansal, addressed the gathering with appreciation and encouragement. She applauded Class XII A’s dedication and creativity, and reminded the senior students of their role as torchbearers of the school’s ethos. “Let your conduct and contributions speak louder than words,” she said, urging them to become legends in their own right.

The assembly concluded on a patriotic note with the National Anthem, leaving behind a sense of pride and inspiration among all present.
