Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park, conducted an insightful profile-building session for students of classes IX to XII. The event aimed to guide students on how to strategically build their profiles for academic and professional success.
The session kicked off with a presentation by Mr Neeladri from Hayden & Renott, who discussed the critical importance of profile-building from high school. He emphasised that early preparation and a well-rounded profile can significantly impact students’ future opportunities.
According to Mr Neeladri, “The key aspects to focus on include academics, extracurricular activities, community service, and leadership. Each of these elements plays a pivotal role in shaping a student’s overall character and qualifications, ensuring they stand out in college applications and future job markets.”

The highlight of the session was the presence of the chief speaker, Mr Kapish Saraf, an alumnus of IIT Kharagpur and IIM Kolkata. Mr Saraf, CEO, KidEx and Master Naukri, shared invaluable strategies on how students can enhance their profiles. His talk was both motivational and practical, offering students actionable advice to take their profile-building efforts to the next level. He emphasised the significance of actively participating in competitions, securing internships, and developing unique, marketable skills that align with one’s interests and career aspirations. Mr Saraf stressed that real-world experience and honing leadership qualities are as essential as academic excellence in today’s competitive world.
The interactive nature of the session ensured that students were fully engaged, with many eager to ask questions and seek guidance. The discussion covered various aspects of profile-building like how to manage time effectively to balance academics with extracurricular and the importance of long-term commitment to causes such as community service or leadership roles.

Throughout the session, students were encouraged to think beyond academics, considering how their hobbies and passions could contribute to a well-rounded personal profile. Mr Saraf’s insights into the changing demands of the job market, especially the growing emphasis on soft skills and hands-on experience, resonated with the students, helping them realise the importance of early career preparation.
The session concluded on an optimistic note, with students feeling empowered and motivated to start actively shaping their profiles. Many were inspired to explore new opportunities, take on leadership roles, and become more involved in extracurricular activities, knowing that these efforts would pay dividends in their future academic and professional endeavours.
