Science Week at Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park, began on an energetic note. The inaugural assembly focused on the theme Science and Technology for a Sustainable Future. The tone was clear from the start. Science is not limited to textbooks. It shapes the world students live in.

An engaging audio-visual presentation traced the pioneering work of Sir CV Raman and highlighted the achievements of ISRO. Students watched, listened, and reflected. The stories of discovery and innovation made science feel real and within reach. It connected classroom concepts to national milestones and everyday life. The presentation also encouraged students to see themselves as future innovators who can question, explore, and contribute meaningfully to society.

Learning through experience

The momentum continued with hands-on activities across grades. Students of Classes VI to VIII took part in stain removal experiments. What looked like a simple activity soon became a Chemistry lesson. They observed reactions, tested solutions, and understood how science explains daily problems. Curiosity guided each step as students compared results and drew practical conclusions.

Class IX students visited the school’s RO water purification system. The visit moved beyond theory. They saw how water is filtered and purified. They discussed conservation and the responsibility of using resources wisely. What this really means is that science becomes meaningful when students see its impact first-hand.

Science and self-awareness

Another highlight was a session titled: Screen or Reality? How Social Media Shapes Our Choices and Lives. The discussion encouraged students to pause and think. They explored how digital platforms influence decisions, habits, and perceptions. The session added a reflective layer to the week’s scientific focus.

The first two days of Science Week blended curiosity with critical thinking. Students experimented, observed, questioned, and reflected. The learning curve was clear. Science is not just about formulas. It is about awareness, responsibility, and informed action.
