What are you doing professionally now?
Professionally I work for GE Aerospace in London. I have been with GE since 2002; so have worked for the company for 22 years and seen lots of ups and downs.
What does your typical day look like?
For the past 21 years, my typical day was office and home whether working from home (post-COVID-19) or being in the office. This last year has been different. I have been blessed with a baby boy and my day revolves around his routine. So lots of baby sensory activities, classes, mumma and bubba brunches and lots of cuddles and healthy eating.
Share any sweet nostalgic memories of Apeejay.
I will always fondly remember my school, teachers, the classroom, debates, assembly time, everything. Highlight will be the summer camps for younger children where I helped the teachers and stayed overnight with the smaller children and organised fun stuff for them. Another that comes to mind is my Board exam practical for Biology where funnily enough while dissecting the mouse, I got stains of blood on the examiner’s shirt! I remember the lunch breaks and enjoying everyone’s tiffin. So many fun memories!
What’s your biggest takeaway from Apeejay?
The takeaway is: That school days go fast. Stop and enjoy, and make friends with lasting friendships.
How were the teachers at school?
All of them were lovely, I got to learn so much from them. I imbibed virtues like patience and kindness too during my school life.

What’s your dream and goal in life?
My dream is to do something of my own now. So far been an accountant (qualified as a Chartered Accountant from India) and worked the better years of my life. Now want to take it a little easy, but fulfil the creative side in me, and do something of my own like designing or photography.
Any message for the school students.
As an adage states; if youth knew and age could. My only message will be to enjoy the present, work hard and do your best. Focus on the positives; life is short, and make the most of it because school years are beautiful.
How did Apeejay hone your skills?
It’s a very balanced school – importance given both to studies and extra curriculum; that helps in life professionally and personally.
