Rise Beyond Comfort: When Growth Becomes a Decision

In today’s professional world, many individuals are working hard, earning well, and still feeling stuck. The workload increases, expectations rise, and yet something feels missing. At the end of the day, a quiet question often comes to mind: Am I truly growing, or just continuing in a routine?
I may not have faced the extreme side of toxic work culture, but I did experience a phase where growth felt limited. I was performing my responsibilities, yet somewhere I knew I was not evolving the way I wanted to. The work became repetitive, the learning curve slowed down, and I started questioning my direction. Alongside this, continuous travel and health challenges made things even more difficult.
That phase made me realise an important truth: growth is not about how long you stay, but about how much you evolve.
What truly helped me during this time was my foundation and the people around me. The learning and discipline I gained from Apeejay Stya University gave me the confidence to believe I could do more. But more than that, my close friend Manya Arora stood by me in moments when I was unsure of myself. She pushed me to step out of my comfort zone, to focus on where real value lies, and to believe that I was capable of more than what I was settling for.
Taking the decision to move forward was not easy. There was fear, uncertainty, and multiple rejections during interviews. But every attempt made me stronger. Within a short period, I secured an opportunity in a new organisation where things started to change.
Today, working alongside supportive colleagues like Jyoti Kumari, I have experienced what a healthy work environment truly looks like. Here, learning is encouraged, responsibilities are meaningful, and there is clarity in work. It is not about being overburdened, but about being trusted and developed.
This journey taught me something powerful. You do not need to wait for the perfect moment. You need to create it.
To every professional who feels stuck or drained, understand this: your situation is not permanent. Growth begins the moment you decide to push yourself beyond comfort. Build your skills, trust your journey, and surround yourself with people who support your progress.
Because when the right mindset meets the right environment, growth is not just possible, it becomes inevitable.
