
The 76th Republic Day, at Apeejay School, Model Town, celebration was an unmatched fervour and enthusiasm. The entire school community came together to honour the spirit of this historic day. Organised by the students of Class V, the event was a brilliant display of teamwork, patriotism, and creativity. The special assembly began with a soulful rendition of the school prayer, sung in perfect harmony. This set a serene and respectful tone for the day’s proceedings.
Following the prayer, the ceremonial flag hoisting was conducted with great reverence. As the Tricolour unfurled, the national anthem echoed across the school grounds, filling the atmosphere with a sense of pride and unity. The students, acting as hosts, guided the program seamlessly, displaying confidence and grace.
Patriotic performances that touched hearts
The highlight of the celebration was a series of stirring performances that resonated deeply with everyone present. A melodious rendition of the iconic song Sare Jahan Se Acha brought forth the spirit of nationalism. Students eloquently shared insights into the significance of Republic Day, weaving in historical context and contemporary relevance. Their speech culminated in a collective pledge, reinforcing the commitment to uphold the values of the Constitution.
Adding a touch of cultural flair, a heartfelt Punjabi poem was recited by one of the students, celebrating the unity in diversity that defines India. This was followed by a group song titled Aashayein, which carried an inspiring message of hope and perseverance. The performances not only showcased the students’ talent but also their deep respect for the country’s heritage.

The event reached its crescendo with a mesmerising dance performance. The vibrant choreography and energetic moves captivated the audience, leaving a lasting impression. This segment was especially remarkable as it featured students who had never participated in such events before. The Officiating Principal, Ms Priyanka Grover, expressed her heartfelt pride in the students’ efforts. She emphasised the importance of unity and patriotism in a diverse nation like India. Her words inspired the students to embrace their roles as responsible citizens, reminding them that they are the torchbearers of the country’s future.
