Smt Rajeshwari Paul, the beloved wife of late Founder-Chairman Dr Stya Paul, was an institution in herself. It was not just her motherly warmth and care but her farsighted vision to include art in education in order to facilitate a child’s holistic development that won the hearts of one and all. And recently Apeejay Svran Global School in Faridabad organised a special assembly to celebrate the pious occasion of the 100th birth anniversary of the first lady of Apeejay Stya Group.

Smt Rajeshwari Paul was fondly remembered by the school faculty and students on this occasion. A central highlight of the ceremony was the symbolic floral tribute, accompanied by soul-stirring devotional bhajans and dance performances. The day was devoted to art and culture and was celebrated as “ Rajeshwari Kala Utsav”.
Additionally, the school’s art department organised an impressive display of artworks created by students from various grades and showcased the diverse range of paintings and sketches, reflecting the creative talents of the students.
Young learners from all classes participated enthusiastically to showcase their art work. Every art exhibited a unique story, reflecting the passion and imagination of our budding artists.

Students like Kaushiki, Anjana, Dhruv, Gurnoor, Himanya, Navya, Mansi, Sumona, and Riya shared their inspirations and aspirations, highlighting the transformative power of art in their lives.
Kaushiki in class 2 finds joy in translating the beauty of nature onto paper while Anjana in class 5 sees painting as a magical journey of self-improvement. Dhruv, also in class 5, values art as a means to express emotions and explore diverse cultures. While Gurnoor in class 7 connects deeply with the symmetry of mandalas, merging art with spirituality.

For Himanya and Mansi, both in class 8, art is about freedom of expression and continuous growth, inspired by professional workshops and the works of artists like Amrita Sher-Gil. Sumona, also in class 8, thrives on collaborative creativity, embracing the lessons of art history to enrich her own work. Riya, in class 9, focuses on portraiture, driven by a passion for continuous learning and artistic development.

The “Rajeshwari Kala Utsav” not only celebrated artistic achievements but also nurtured a community where creativity flourishes, supported by dedicated art classes and a nurturing environment. As we reflect on this event, we are reminded of the profound impact of art in shaping our students’ identities and aspirations, embodying the spirit of Smt. Rajeshwari Paul ji’s enduring legacy.
