The pre-Primary wing of Apeejay School, Tanda Road, Jalandhar, recently celebrated Orange Day with vibrant activities designed to enhance early childhood development. The event was marked by engaging and educational activities tailored to different age groups, making it both a fun and enriching experience for the young learners.
Pre-nursery Colouring Activity: The celebration kicked off with the pre-nursery students participating in a colouring activity featuring the colour orange. This activity was designed to improve their fine motor skills and colour recognition. The children enjoyed the hands-on experience of filling in pictures with shades of orange, which helped in refining their grip and control over colouring tools.

Nursery Petal-pasting Fun: In the nursery class, the focus was on a petal-pasting activity where the young learners created beautiful flowers using orange petals. This creative task not only allowed the children to explore their artistic abilities but also significantly contributed to their hand-eye coordination. The process of arranging and glueing petals helped enhance their precision and spatial awareness.

LKG Cotton Dabbing on Balloons: The LKG students took part in a delightful cotton dabbing activity on balloons. By dabbing cotton balls dipped in orange paint on balloons, the children engaged in a fun and dynamic way to develop their fine motor skills. This activity also encouraged creativity and provided a sensory experience as they interacted with different textures.

UKG Creative Orange Making: For the UKG students, the challenge was to draw 13 oranges. This activity was designed to stimulate their cognitive skills as they worked on counting, pattern recognition, and fine motor coordination. The creative process of constructing oranges also offered the children an opportunity to apply their problem-solving abilities and artistic flair.

The Orange Day celebration at Apeejay School, Tanda Road, Jalandhar, was a resounding success, combining fun with educational value. Each activity was thoughtfully designed to support developmental milestones for pre-primary students, from enhancing fine motor skills to fostering creativity and cognitive abilities. This vibrant celebration not only highlighted the school’s commitment to holistic early childhood education but also provided a joyful learning experience for the young learners.
