Define your journey thus far.
The past five years have been truly enriching, helping me grow into a more independent and confident learner. I’ve gained a deeper understanding of global perspectives and developed new ways of thinking. This school has encouraged me to take a more active role in my learning, pushing me to tackle challenging and complex problems. It has also offered numerous opportunities to connect with people from around the world, allowing me to strengthen both my academic and social skills. Overall, my journey has been a transformative experience that has greatly contributed to my personal and academic growth.
Which learner profile attribute do you think you developed the most in PYP-5?
I believe that during PYP-5, I have developed the learner profile attribute of an inquirer. I’ve become more curious, asked thoughtful questions, and explored topics in greater depth to understand them better. The school has played a big role in helping me grow as a researcher by giving us interesting topics to investigate and engaging projects that make learning fun and meaningful.
What Approaches to Learning skills do you feel most confident in now?
I feel most confident in my thinking skills because the school has truly helped me strengthen the way I understand and apply knowledge. I’ve learned to ask meaningful questions, make connections between ideas, and think more deeply about what I learn. My comprehension has improved significantly, and I can now explain concepts clearly and solve problems more effectively. This school has equipped me with the tools to think critically, and that has made a big difference in how I approach learning every day.
What topic did you choose for your PYP Exhibition and why?
I chose AI in healthcare as my exhibition topic because I believe it holds great potential to improve medical services and outcomes. AI can support doctors by making diagnoses faster and more accurately, and it can help extend medical care to areas with limited access to healthcare professionals. I find this topic both important and exciting because of its ability to save lives and transform the future of healthcare in truly remarkable ways.
How did your exhibition project help you learn about yourself?
My exhibition project helped me discover more about myself by allowing me to explore topics I’m genuinely passionate about. It allowed me to ask deeper questions, conduct meaningful research, and understand ideas on a whole new level. Through this journey, I also began thinking about my future — what I enjoy learning and the kind of impact I hope to make in the world.
What is your most memorable learning moment from PYP-5?
One of my most memorable learning moments was when I was struggling with Hindi and constantly asking my friends what certain words meant or if my spellings were correct. But with my teacher’s support and encouragement, I improved a lot. Before I knew it, the roles had reversed — my friends were now asking me for help! I was amazed at how far I had come in just a few weeks. I went from not remembering how to say “pillow” in Hindi to writing full paragraphs and confidently reading Hindi books.
