The birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Devji at Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park was celebrated with great enthusiasm and reverence with the students of pre-primary playing an active role in the celebrations. The day began with the traditional Prabhat Pheri, a morning procession, where young students, dressed in colourful traditional attire and wearing turbans, participated with full enthusiasm. The children sang the sacred Ek Onkar hymn, spreading the message of oneness and divine harmony.

The event was not only a spiritual occasion but also a meaningful learning experience for the little ones. They were introduced to the teachings of Guru Nanak, with a focus on his core values of equality, truth, service to humanity, and kindness. The students were encouraged to reflect on these teachings, which are still relevant today in fostering peace and understanding among people.

“India is a land of festivals and at Apeejay, Panchsheel Park, we celebrate all festivals with vigour and enthusiasm. Such celebrations encourage students to follow the values of love, respect, brotherhood, and kindness for everyone,” Ms Rachna Jain, Pre-primary Coordinator, shared.

As part of the celebration, the children were taught about the importance of community and sharing. The atmosphere was filled with warmth as students covered their heads and prayed, offering a moment of quiet reflection on the spiritual significance of the day. Teachers and parents joined in the celebrations, making it a memorable occasion for everyone involved.

This celebration not only helped instil the values of kindness and peace in the young minds but also provided a deeper understanding of Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s timeless teachings. The event was a beautiful blend of tradition, spirituality, and education, leaving a lasting impression on all.
