For a prekindergarten child, schools should focus on creating a nurturing and engaging environment that supports their social, emotional, and cognitive development. “This school incorporates learning through play, which allows children to explore new concepts like colors, shapes, numbers, and letters in a fun and engaging way,” shares Amandeep Singh whose daughter Liv is a prekinder at Rhythms Kinderworld, GK II.
Read on to learn how this playschool maintains open communication with parents and involves them in the learning process.
Why did you choose Rhythms for your child?
We were looking at quite a few options for our kid who was supposed to be in school for the first time (not been to play school) and it was for pre-kinder, keeping in mind a few criteria. Compared to a few reputed ones, we find Rhythm the most appropriate in terms of its geographical sit up, environment within, infra built and most organised. The best part was the class strength is not more than 15 students which makes it our first choice.
Is the school environment conducive enough?
Yes, with no doubt; the curriculum and the environment are the best examples for being most favourable for kids and also from parents’ perspective. If it is to indicate the hygiene, the mid-meal or the helping staff, we couldn’t have got anything better for this age group where the kids need to be handled with patience. The helping staff made our kid so comfortable from Day 1 which allowed her to seek any small help without hesitations.
How is the school staff?
The staff is one of the best attributes of this school, especially the helping staff which makes the kids feel more at home away from home. From the beginning, whether it is the gatekeeper who always ensures that kids are never left alone at any time to leading them to the parents so they don’t linger around on the road or parking area. The most important part is the teachers. Our daughter already considers her class teacher her idol.
What has your child learned so far?
The learning is a mix of lifestyle and academics. We are happy that our kid keeps on revising the topic of the day the whole time after finishing school. This means they make learning fun and it encourages the toddlers to imitate the class work and things they learnt. So far her eating habits have improved, loves reading books, reciting poems and some life ethics. She is already aware of India’s geographical location on the globe, our nation’s heroic personalities and some sports learning too.

Which extracurricular activities does your child enjoy?
There has been a lot including their sports day on Friday and the excursions. Our daughter is more fond of seeking new things regardless of any interest, so she enjoys almost all the celebrations which happen in school such as Mother’s Day, and Independence Day to name a few. She enjoys most Fridays as sports day and also activities which include some paintings and sand art.
