Plastic pollution, particularly from single-use items, is a significant environmental issue, contaminating ecosystems and potentially affecting human health through the presence of microplastics.
Achieving a plastic-free future involves reducing consumption, embracing reusable products (bags, bottles, containers), and supporting sustainable alternatives and packaging.
Proper recycling and composting are also important, alongside advocating for policies that curb plastic production and promote eco-friendly options.
