Apeejay Svran Global School, Sector 21-D, Faridabad, recently hosted an enriching Personality development session for students of Grades 8 and 9. Designed to nurture confident and self-aware individuals, the event proved to be a memorable and transformative experience for the young learners.
Redefining personality:
The session began by encouraging students to reflect on what personality truly means. Moving beyond the conventional ideas of physical appearance, the session highlighted that personality is shaped by one’s behaviour, attitude, and the unique impact one creates in the lives of others. It focused on developing essential life skills that contribute to a well-rounded, admirable persona.
Self-awareness:
One of the key highlights was the self-awareness activity, where students were prompted to identify and speak about their strengths, interests, and personal values. This segment helped them understand themselves better, build self-esteem, and embrace their individuality.
Mastering communication:
Another important segment of the session addressed communication skills. Students learned the importance of active listening, speaking clearly, and expressing themselves through confident body language. By participating in interactive discussions and role plays, they began to realise the power of positive and effective communication in building lasting relationships.

Positive affirmations:
A particularly uplifting part of the session was the use of positive affirmations. Learners practiced simple daily affirmations to boost their confidence, develop a growth mindset, and overcome self-doubt. These affirmations encouraged them to appreciate themselves and believe in their abilities.
Practical tips for daily growth
Adding to the practical value of the workshop, students were given helpful tips such as starting to practice cursive writing and creating a personal vocabulary bank of 100 words. These tips aim to improve both written expression and vocabulary, enhancing students’ overall communication skills.
From learning the importance of gratitude to refining posture and improving eye contact, the session empowered students to take small but meaningful steps towards becoming their best selves. With guidance from facilitators and enthusiastic participation, students walked away more aware, confident, and ready to make a positive impression on the world.
