This Class VI duo has set an inspiring benchmark of academic excellence and dedication with their remarkable achievements. Meet Harmeet Singh Chahal and Ishika Arora, now studying in Class VII at Apeejay School, Rama Mandi, who secured an impressive 96.3% and 90.5%, respectively, in their final exams.

With the unwavering support of their teachers and parents, these bright minds have excelled in academics while actively participating in extracurricular activities.

When asked about their exam preparation strategies, Ishika shared, “First, I understand the syllabus and exam pattern, create a detailed study plan, practice regularly with mock tests, revise consistently, and manage my time effectively. I also analyse previous years’ question papers and always take a break after an hour of studying.”

Harmeet, on the other hand, pointed out, “I do not follow any special strategy for exams. I don’t study according to hours; instead, my main focus is on achieving perfection in concepts.”

So, what was the most difficult part of the exams, and how did they overcome it?

Ishika expressed, “The most challenging part of my exams was the duration. The Math and Social Studies papers were too lengthy, and my writing speed was slow. In the Math exam, I was left with two parts of the last question. That’s when I realised I needed to improve my writing speed, so I started practicing by writing notes.”

Harmeet, however, found it a smooth sail. “Since our teachers had already revised everything thoroughly, there was no major difficulty. The only challenge was memorising everything, so I focused on concept clarity and tried my best.”

Harmeet further shared that his favourite subjects are Math, Punjabi, and Computer. “Math is my strongest subject. Punjabi is our native language, and computers are very interesting and essential in the current era.”

Ishika quipped, “My favourite subjects are Science and Math because Science helps me understand the world around me, encourages curiosity and critical thinking, and offers endless possibilities for exploration and discovery. Math is a fascinating journey of logical thinking and problem-solving.”

As they look forward to more achievements, Ishika shared that her ambition is to become a doctor, while Harmeet aspires to join the Civil Services or pursue a career in sports.
