On March 21, 2025, Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri, organised a Parent Orientation Programme for the academic session 2025–26. This special event was designed for the parents of students entering the Board classes. It aimed to familiarise them with the school’s goals, teaching strategies, and support systems for the year ahead.
The orientation began under the inspiring leadership of Dr Vineet Vasishtha, Principal of the school. With warmth and clarity, he welcomed the parents and set the tone for a fruitful year ahead. His address reflected the school’s commitment to collaboration and transparency in education.
Dr Vasishtha emphasised the importance of teamwork between parents and teachers. He highlighted how this partnership plays a crucial role in shaping a student’s academic journey. By working together, he said, they can support students in reaching their full potential.
He also spoke about the values and mission of Apeejay School, which centres on holistic development, academic excellence, and emotional well-being. With a focus on personalised attention, the principal assured parents that their children would be guided and supported at every step.

Understanding the academic roadmap
The orientation also included a detailed session led by teachers. They shared the curriculum plan, exam schedule, and teaching methods for the Board classes. They aimed to give parents a clear idea of what to expect in the coming months.
Teachers also discussed effective strategies for academic success, including time management, regular revision, and maintaining discipline. They encouraged parents to create a supportive home environment and maintain open communication with their children and the school.
A special focus was placed on helping students balance academics with mental health. Teachers reminded parents that a healthy lifestyle, adequate rest, and emotional support are just as important as academic achievement during this crucial year.

Mental well-being: A key priority
Dr Vasishtha addressed the importance of mental and emotional well-being, especially for Board students. He urged parents to be attentive to signs of stress and anxiety in their children and encouraged regular conversations at home. The school, he assured them, would continue to provide a nurturing and stress-free environment.
“It was a pleasure to meet all the parents during the orientation programme. Our shared goal is to ensure the holistic development of every child in the upcoming Board session. I am confident that with your support and our dedicated efforts, we will guide our students toward success. Let us work together for a fruitful and enriching academic year,” Dr Vasishtha said.
He also reassured parents that Apeejay School remains committed to offering both academic guidance and emotional support to help students navigate challenges confidently.

Open communication fosters trust
Towards the end of the session, a Q&A round was held. Parents appreciated this opportunity to voice their concerns and receive guidance directly from the Principal and teaching staff. Their questions were met with patient and informative responses, strengthening the sense of trust between home and school.
Several parents expressed gratitude for the school’s open approach and the clarity provided during the session. They shared that they felt more confident and prepared to support their children throughout the academic year.

The Parent Orientation Programme at Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri, was a resounding success. It not only gave parents valuable insights into the upcoming year but also reaffirmed the school’s commitment to building strong partnerships with families. The session laid a strong foundation for cooperation, mutual respect, and shared responsibility.
By aligning goals and expectations, the school and parents are now better equipped to guide students through a year filled with growth, learning, and achievement.
