Dr. Rohini Tikkha, a practicing Dentist at Brite Dental Clinic Noida is the mother of Annika Tikkha, who is studying in class 8 F at Apeejay School, Noida. In an interview, Dr. Tikkha appreciates the school’s approach towards consistent grooming of students. Edited excerpts:

What made you think Apeejay School, Noida, would be the right choice for your child?

Many of my cousins have graduated from Apeejay School, Noida and they are doing very well in the business world in India and abroad. So, when we moved to Noida, Apeejay School was the obvious choice for us. They say that the proof of the pudding is in its eating, and indeed, our trust in Apeejay School, Noida paid off when our elder daughter Anusha graduated with flying colours in Class 12. Children enter the school as kids and leave its hallowed portals as confident adults. This is what we experienced when she worked her way up the School Prefectorial Board until she became Head Girl of senior school.

How has your child’s learning progress been?

We are witnessing a repeat of our experience with our younger daughter. And so, we can say that it is not a flash in the pan. The school gets credit for consistent grooming. Our daughter has developed academic skills which get certified every year by independent agencies like the SOF when she takes the exams.

How well does the school ensure children’s safety and security?

Over the years, we have observed that there is a clear demarcation of entry and exit points of the school. For younger children, teachers are always monitoring the kids in addition to the several security staff at each gate. During school timings, even parents have to show their identity proof before they get inside the campus. There is a medical room with several beds and a qualified medical person managing it. For those who avail school transport, there is a teacher and attendants inside the bus. There is also a full-time transport incharge in the school.

Are you working, if yes? Then how Apeejay is helping working parents?

Yes. The first help is the child’s security at school as I have earlier mentioned. While at work, parents do not need to worry about their children during school timings. Second, the homework and the exam schedule are posted on their online software called “Moodle”, so parents can easily look up anytime about the upcoming activities and syllabus.
