Orientation Programme: The two-day event fostered a sense of belonging among young learners’

Transitioning to a new class can be an imperative milestone in a child’s academic journey, marking the beginning of new challenges, opportunities, and a ride that is yet to be explored. Amidst the excitement and apprehension that often accompany such transitions, orientation programs play a crucial role in easing the adjustment process for young learners. Such programmes offer invaluable support and guidance, ensuring that the child is all ready to embark on their new academic endeavors with confidence and enthusiasm.

To keep the transition process smooth and gear up the spirits of young ones, Apeejay School, Noida, recently organised a two-day orientation programme for the students. The event took place on March 27-28 which aimed at fostering a sense of belongingness amongst the young learners from nursery and kindergarten.

The event was organised thoughtfully to provide an immersive and unforgettable experience for the attending students. In total, 77 students participated. Day One commenced with the registration process, setting the stage for what promised to be a day filled with valuable insights and connections. The teachers warmly welcomed the students, extending a heartfelt greeting that set a positive tone for the proceedings

The highlight of the event, on both days, was that the students engaged enthusiastically in diverse activities promoting creativity, collaboration, and exploration. They enjoyed guided tours of the school grounds led by passionate staff members. The engaging sessions were conducted to introduce children to their upcoming respective class teachers and further enable them to develop a sense of familiarity and trust.

Ms Tapasya Dixit, Pre-primary Incharge, engaged with parents and students throughout the orientation programme, ensuring a welcoming environment. The programme successfully familiarised students with their new classroom, teachers, classmates, school campus, and transportation arrangements. Parents praised the school’s efforts in ensuring their children’s comfort as they embark on their learning journey.

A delightful lunch allowed children to socialise with peers and teachers in a relaxed atmosphere. Educational activities promoted learning through play and exploration. Each child received toys as a memento of their memorable school experience.

All in all, the purpose of the Orientation Programme was to provide a boost for students joining the school starting from the new academic session, commencing today (Wednesday, April 3, 2024).
