Grooming classes at Apeejay School, Rama Mandi build skills and confidence

Grooming classes play a crucial role in fostering the overall development of young minds. Beyond academics, these sessions help students acquire essential life skills, boost self-confidence, and enhance their social interactions. By engaging in diverse activities, students not only explore their creativity but also develop effective communication and proper etiquette. Events like these provide a platform for children to showcase their talents while nurturing their personal and intellectual growth.    

Apeejay School, Rama Mandi, Jalandhar, conducted its annual Grooming Classes for students from nursery to Class V, following the result declaration. This year, the sessions were held from March 17-26, 2025, offering a wide range of activities aimed at enhancing the holistic development of young learners. 

The training sessions included engaging and skill-based activities like art and craft, dance and music classes, Math with fun, communication skills, social etiquette, and table manners. These activities were designed to develop creativity, confidence, and social interaction among students while making learning enjoyable and experiential.

The classes culminated with a grand Valedictory Ceremony on March 26, 2025. The event was marked by a vibrant showcase of talent and creativity. Students mesmerised the audience with captivating dance performances and melodious musical presentations. They also exhibited a variety of art and craft projects created during the sessions, reflecting their artistic growth and dedication. The ceremony not only celebrated the students’ achievements but also highlighted their newfound skills and confidence. 

Mr AK Sharma, Principal of the school, addressed and emphasised the significance of these grooming classes. He remarked that the objective was to go beyond academic learning and focus on building self-reliance, creativity, and social etiquette. He expressed satisfaction with the sessions’ positive impact on the students and their overall growth.

Mrs Aarti Shorey Bhat, the Vice-principal, congratulated the teachers and students for the successful completion of the event. She commended the initiative and expressed her joy in witnessing the students’ enhanced self-confidence and improved interpersonal skills.

The Grooming Classes programme proved to be a memorable and enriching experience for both students and teachers, reinforcing the school’s commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals prepared for future challenges.
