Wendell Berry said, “The Earth is what we all have in common.” With this thought, Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri, celebrated Earth Day with great enthusiasm. Students from nursery to Class II participated in various activities designed to honour our planet and raise awareness about environmental conservation.
The celebrations began on a melodious note. The young learners sang soulful Earth Day songs that filled the air with joy and responsibility. Their cheerful voices set a positive tone, reminding everyone of the bond we share with Mother Earth.
After the songs, the excitement grew with a lively Earth Day quiz. The students eagerly answered questions about nature, recycling, wildlife, and ways to protect the environment. Their quick, thoughtful answers reflected not only their growing knowledge but also their concern for the planet. It was heartening to see such young minds so aware and eager to make a difference.
Words that inspire
Students also delivered short, powerful speeches during the event. They spoke about the importance of taking small steps to protect Earth, such as saving water, planting trees, and reducing waste. Their words were simple yet impactful, inspiring everyone present to think and act more responsibly.
Art was another major highlight of the day. Students displayed their love for nature through colourful paintings of clean cities, lush forests, and beautiful landscapes. In addition, they wrote powerful slogans promoting a greener Earth. Each slogan carried a message of hope and urgency, reminding everyone that taking care of the planet is a shared responsibility.
Adding to the day’s vibrancy were the energetic dance performances by the little ones. Through rhythm and graceful movements, they expressed their love and respect for nature. Their passion and talent left the audience amazed and deeply touched.
A thoughtful conclusion
The celebrations concluded with an address by Principal Dr Vineet Vasishtha. “At Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri, we believe that young minds are the true torchbearers of change.
