Meet Vaahin Parasher—a bright-eyed, multi-talented Class 2 student whose curiosity is matched by his rhythm and strength. Promoted to Class 2 this academic year, Vaahin continues to grow under the nurturing guidance of his teachers at Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park. His mother, Sakshi Parasher, speaks to us with pride about his journey in Class 1, his interests, and the areas where she sees potential for further growth. Read edited excerpts:

How has Vaahin’s journey been through Class 1?

It’s been a fantastic year. His overall development has been very commendable. I truly appreciate the teachers—they’re experienced, efficient, and have wonderful teaching methods. The entire year was full of positive learning, and I’ve seen visible growth in Vaahin.

Which subjects does he find easy or difficult?

Science and mathematics are his favourites. He’s quite logical and enjoys problem-solving. Computer studies have been a little tough for him, but I’m sure he’ll figure it out with time. He’s a sharp learner and determined too.

Does he enjoy any sports or physical activities?

Yes, absolutely! He’s learning Taekwondo outside school and loves it. At school, he takes part in skating and attends Sports Guru classes. He’s a strong and energetic child—it reflects in his interest in martial arts.

What about extracurriculars like music, dance, or art?

Dance is his favourite! He enjoys fast-paced Bollywood numbers like Nacho Nacho and Tauba Tauba. I’d say he’s a natural dancer—he gets it from his father. He’s got great rhythm and absolutely loves performing.

Any areas where you’d like to see more growth?

While he’s doing really well in dance, I’d love to see his public speaking skills being developed more. That’s something I hope the school can focus on. Expressing himself clearly and confidently is important, and I believe he has the potential to grow in that direction too.

And how has your experience been with the school so far?

So far, I’m very happy. The environment is warm, and the teachers are nurturing. I feel assured when I leave him at school. I’ll have a better sense as the year progresses, but till now—it’s all been very good.
