The National Testing Agency (NTA) successfully conducted Day 2 of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for undergraduate programmes on May 16, 2024. The examination, which began on May 15, 2024, saw extensive participation from candidates both nationally and internationally.

On Day 2, the NTA administered 15.81 lakh test papers across subjects including Economics, Hindi, Physics, and Mathematics/Applied Mathematics, completing 27.29% of the total examination. The CUET (UG) – 2024 is being held at approximately 1578 examination centers worldwide, reflecting the large-scale organisation and reach of this national-level exam.

In a significant development, the NTA has also expanded the CUET (UG) – 2024 to over 90 additional cities compared to the previous year. This expansion is aimed at enhancing accessibility for students, particularly those in remote and underserved areas.

For the first time, regions like Dumka in Jharkhand, Jowai in Meghalaya, and Dantewada in Chhattisgarh are hosting the CUET (UG), demonstrating the NTA’s commitment to inclusivity and providing equal opportunities for all students.

Candidates have been reminded to download their revised admit cards, if applicable, for the upcoming exam days and ensure timely arrival at their designated centres. The NTA’s efforts to extend the reach of the CUET (UG) – 2024 align with its mission to make higher education more accessible and equitable.
