Noida school celebrates Investiture Ceremony to recognise young leaders

Apeejay School, Noida recently organised the Investiture Ceremony for the Primary Department to recognise and felicitate the young and emerging leaders of tomorrow. The annual event marked the induction of new leaders into various student council positions, providing them with an opportunity to take on responsibilities and demonstrate leadership qualities.

The ceremony commenced with great enthusiasm and pride as distinguished personality, Lieutenant General  R K S Kushwaha graced the occasion as the chief guest. Mr Kushwaha, who has been honoured with the prestigious Param Vishisht Seva Medal (PVSM) and Ati Vishisht Seva Medal (AVSM), inspired the young minds with his presence and words of wisdom.

Further, Ms. Ritu Kohli, Prinicipal of Apeejay School, Noida and Mrs. Smriti Samuel, Primary Incharge were also present. They played a significant role in conferring badges and certificates upon the members of the Primary Prefectorial Board for the academic year 2023-2024. The sense of pride and honour was evident on the faces of the newly appointed leaders as they received their badges from the esteemed guests.

During the ceremony, Chitramukta Anand, Head Girl and Inesh Kakker, Head Boy expressed their commitment to fulfill their responsibilities diligently. They pledged to uphold the values taught by the school while embracing the true spirit of the school motto, ‘Soaring High is My Nature’. Their acceptance speeches were filled with confidence and determination, setting a positive tone for their term as leaders.

Ms. Ritu Kohli administered the oath to the newly elected Prefectorial Board, guiding them in their duties. She encouraged the young leaders to approach their roles with humility, honesty, truthfulness, and integrity, inspiring them to be responsible role models for their peers.

Urging students to uphold their solemn promise as torch-bearers, Primary Incharge, Mrs. Smriti Samuel encouraged them to demonstrate responsibility and leadership in their actions.

The ceremony instilled a strong sense of responsibility and leadership in the young minds of primary students. It served as a reminder that leadership begins at an early age, and nurturing it in children can pave the way for a brighter and more responsible future.

The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the Chief Guest, Lieutenant General R K S Kushwaha, for gracing the ceremony with his presence. Lastly, the National Anthem was sung with patriotic fervour, bringing the event to a close.
