Starting a new school year is always an exciting experience. But this year is all the more special because I am starting in a new wing. I recently got promoted to class 6 and my first day of school was truly amazing.
The day started with the school Principal’s welcome at the gate. Ma’am wished us luck and encouraged us to make the most of our school year. Her warm demeanor made me feel at ease and excited about my day ahead.
Further, the teachers of the school were equally friendly and caring. They introduced themselves to us and shared some interesting facts about their personalities. I was delighted to find out that my class 5 Social Studies teacher was now a permanent teacher at this wing. I felt relieved on seeing a familiar face. It just added to my comfort level in the new environment.
We then went on a tour of the school and I was impressed by how well-maintained and structured everything looked. We saw the building, swimming pool and other facilities that the school offers. It was evident that the institution is set to provide a conducive learning environment for us this year too.
But my day was not just about introductions and tours. I learned something new on my first day itself. It is the French language, a new language for me. I sat in the class and added to my knowledge.

Overall, my first day was fantastic. Right from the warm welcome by the Principal, to meeting friendly and caring teachers and having the opportunity to learn something new, made the day truly unforgettable! I returned home motivated about the year ahead. I’m now looking forward to all the new experiences that the school year will bring for me.
