With the NEET UG 2025 result announced, Riya Vasudev, a student of Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg, has emerged as one of India’s high scorers with a remarkable 99.91 percentile. As NEET UG 2025 counselling and merit list discussions intensify, Riya offers invaluable advice for aspirants, especially in mastering Chemistry – a subject she aced using a smart, minimalist approach.

Riya, how should NEET aspirants approach Chemistry preparation?

For Chemistry, reading NCERT thoroughly is the key. Students should treat it like Biology – every word matters. I studied NCERT again and again until I was confident. There’s no need to go beyond that for theory.

Did you refer to any other books besides NCERT?

No, I didn’t. NCERT is enough. But it must be read line-by-line, especially for Organic and Inorganic Chemistry. The language can be tricky, so understanding the concept behind each sentence is very important.

Which Chemistry topics should students focus on more?

Organic Chemistry needs extra attention. Questions can be twisted from the NCERT lines, so you have to be sharp. Also, solve PYQs (Previous Year Questions) alongside your reading – it helps you identify patterns.

Can you briefly explain the three parts of Chemistry?

Sure! Chemistry is divided into Organic, Inorganic, and Physical. Organic deals with reactions and structures, Inorganic is fact-heavy, and Physical involves numericals like Mole Concept and Solutions. For Physical Chemistry, focus on practice and problem-solving.

Any final advice for NEET aspirants?

Stay consistent, trust NCERT, and don’t panic. The NEET UG 2025 qualifying marks and cut-off can vary, but smart preparation will help you stay ahead in the NEET UG 2025 rank list.
