The Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) has extended the deadline for the NEET UG 2024 round one choice-locking window, which will now be open until 11:59 p.m. today, August 21. Candidates can lock their choices on the official website, mcc.nic.in. Initially, the deadline was set for August 20, but applicants now have additional time to finalise their choices. The choice-locking facility will open at 5 p.m. today.

To complete the choice-locking process, candidates must visit the official website and log in using their roll number and password. After accessing the choice-filling option, they can list their preferred courses and colleges, review them, and lock the choices before submitting.

The MCC will announce the results of the round one seat allocation on August 23, 2024. Candidates who are allotted seats will need to report to the respective institutes between August 24 and August 29. They must carry the original and photocopies of essential documents, including the NEET UG admit card, scorecard, Class 10 and 12 certificates, and proof of identity. Special requirements apply for OCI, PIO, foreign nationals, and NRI candidates.

This year, the seat matrix includes 26,582 available seats across MBBS, BDS, and BSc Nursing programs. NEET UG 2024 counselling will consist of four rounds, including a Mop-up Round and Stray Vacancy Round, with the entire process expected to conclude by October 30, 2024. Round two registration will open on September 5 and close on September 10.
