NEET PG counseling 2024: Round 1 choice filling begins

The NEET PG 2024 counselling process for Round 1 has officially begun today, November 8, 2024. Candidates who have cleared the NEET PG exam can now begin filling and locking their choices for medical colleges through the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) official website at mcc.nic.in. The choice filling and locking process will remain open until November 17, 2024. Following this, the Round 1 seat allotment list will be published on November 20.
Selected candidates must report to their allocated colleges between November 21 and 27, 2024, to complete the admission process. The NEET PG counseling is conducted by MCC for 50% of All India Quota (AIQ) seats, as well as 100% of seats for deemed and central universities, Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) institutes, and PG DNB seats.
Candidates can follow these steps to fill in their choices:
Documents required for admission include the allotment letter issued by MCC, admit card and rank letter issued by NBE, and mark sheets from the first, second, and third professional MBBS/BDS exams.
The counseling process will continue through four rounds: Round 1, Round 2, Mop-up round, and Stray vacancy round. Round 2 registration will begin on December 4, 2024, with candidates required to report to allotted colleges by December 12, 2024. This year, a total of 26,168 MD, 922 PG Diploma, 13,649 MS, 1,338 DNB, and 1,326 MDS seats are up for grabs.
Candidates are advised to complete their choice-filling process promptly to ensure they don’t miss out on their preferred seat.
