The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has commenced the registration and choice-filling process for Round 2 of the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for postgraduate (NEET-PG) 2024 counselling. Aspiring candidates can submit their preferences for colleges and courses between December 5-9, 2024. This stage allows applicants to revise their choices from the previous round, as selections made earlier will not be carried forward.
Candidates will have five days to finalise and lock their choices. After this period, the seat allotment results for Round 2 will be announced on December 12, 2024. State-level counselling for NEET PG 2024 Round 2 is also set to begin on the same date.
Once seat allotments are released, selected candidates must report to their respective colleges between December 13-20, 2024. The verification of joined candidates will be conducted from December 21-22, 2024.
Additionally, the Supreme Court is expected to hear a related plea on December 10, potentially influencing the ongoing counselling process.
In a recent development, the MCC permitted candidates to change their nationality status from Indian to NRI for counselling purposes. Requests for this change, along with supporting documents, were to be submitted by 10 am on December 1, 2024.
Candidates are advised to stay updated with MCC’s official notifications and ensure timely submission of their preferences and documents to secure their seats in desired institutes.
This counselling phase marks a critical opportunity for NEET PG aspirants to pursue postgraduate medical courses in top colleges across the country.
