The Supreme Court of India has recently rejected a plea to postpone the NEET PG 2023 exam which is scheduled for March 05, 2023. A bench of Justice S Ravindra Bhat and Justice Dipankar Datta refused to entertain the two petitions filed by the candidates that called for the all-India medical entrance exam to be postponed by three months.
The petitioners wanted the date to be moved back by three months because the cut-off date for completing the mandatory medical internship has now been extended to August 11. Without the completion of the internship, medical students cannot participate in the medical counselling process. In the matter, Senior Advocate Gopal Sankaranarayanan noted that usually, the gap between the internship deadline and the exam is never more than two months.
According to Additional Solicitor General (ASG) Aishwarya Bhati, only 6,000 students applied during the second window while the remaining 2.03 lakh candidates completed their applications within the first window. So, a minority of people were asking for the postponement of the exam.
The National Board of Examinations for Medical Sciences (NBE) has released the NEET PG 2023 admit card and those who have registered for the same can download their admit card from the official website, nbe.edu.in, and natboard.edu.in.
