The National Technology Day 2024 celebration at Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld in GK was a vibrant affair, buzzing with enthusiasm and innovation. Led by the visionary Principal Ms. Komal Nathani, the event emphasised the importance of integrating technology into early education to prepare gen alpha kids for the digital future.

Preparations for the event began well in advance, with Ms. Nathani advocating for the inclusion of technology in the curriculum. With her own certification in Scratch from Edinburgh, she spearheaded the drive towards coding education.

To ensure the readiness of teachers, a workshop was organised focusing on coding and online gaming. Led by Ms. Rabia Azim, a pre-primary teacher and coding expert from Hong Kong University, the workshop illuminated innovative ways to enhance the learning experience.

On the day of the workshop for students, the school was alive with activity. Teachers guided children through the fundamentals of coding using Scratch, a beginner-friendly program from MIT. Children were thrilled to create interactive games like cat and mouse, football, and animated stories such as “Three Little Pigs”, “The Enormous Turnip”, and “Goldilocks and the Three Bears.”

Students also delved into online puzzles and crosswords, fostering teamwork and problem-solving skills through team-based activities. This holistic approach not only nurtured their technological proficiency but also instilled valuable traits like collaboration and critical thinking.

Code- Total Success!

The Tech Day celebration was a resounding success, seamlessly blending learning with enjoyment. Children embarked on a journey of discovery, embracing technology as a tool for both education and recreation. Apeejay School Rhythms Kinderworld continues to evolve with the times, ensuring that its students are well-prepared to thrive in an increasingly digital world.
