At just eight years old, Aadit Kumar Sonker is already making waves across multiple fields—be it academics, sports, or creative arts. A student of Apeejay School, Noida, Aadit’s list of achievements is nothing short of spectacular. In this candid chat, his mother, Parijat Kumar, takes us through his incredible journey, how the school has nurtured his talents, and what lies ahead for this young dynamo. Read edited excerpts:

How has Aadit evolved since he joined Apeejay School, Noida?
Aadit has been an all-rounder right from the start! From excelling in academics to winning inter-school sports competitions, he has shown immense dedication. His teachers have played a crucial role in shaping his journey. Over the years, he has grown into a disciplined and hardworking child who enjoys learning and performing.

Apart from studies, what are his major interests?
He is deeply passionate about sports! He plays tennis, badminton, and even enjoys skating. Aadit has also participated in numerous inter-house and inter-school competitions. He recently bagged a gold medal in the prestigious Rajeshwari Paul Tennis Tournament.

Wow! That’s impressive. Does he enjoy creative activities as well?
Absolutely! He has a natural flair for painting, and one of his artworks was even displayed at the Noida Art Exhibition. His love for sketching started early, and seeing his potential, we enrolled him in professional fine arts classes. He also loves public speaking and secured a second-place trophy at an inter-school speech and drama competition in Faridabad. The topic was ‘Climate Crusaders,’ and he delivered a fantastic performance.

That’s a diverse set of talents! And we hear he’s a model too?
Yes, he recently featured in a Nike advertisement aired on Zoom channel! It was an exciting experience, and he enjoyed every bit of it. Aadit loves being in front of the camera and performing—it comes naturally to him.

With so many activities, how does he balance his time?
Aadit is a hyperactive child, so we ensure his energy is channeled in the right direction. One thing that truly sets him apart is that he is not into gadgets at all! He doesn’t even touch mobile phones, which helps him focus on his various passions without distractions.

What role has Apeejay School, Noida, played in his success?
The school has been instrumental in providing him with the right opportunities and guidance. His teachers have always supported him, whether in academics, sports, or extracurriculars. I was also part of the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA), and whenever I had concerns, they were addressed promptly. The school environment is excellent, and I feel confident that Aadit is in the right place.

And what about the School Principal?
She’s wonderful! In fact, we’ve interacted several times. Her vision for the students is inspiring, and she’s deeply invested in their growth and success.

What’s next for Aadit? Any new goals or aspirations?
He’s always eager to learn something new. Right now, he wants to continue excelling in tennis, art, and academics. He’s also keen on exploring more opportunities in modeling. Whatever he chooses, we’re here to support him every step of the way!
