When it was time for this parent to look for schools for their child, they didn’t have a fixed agenda, but she and her husband were clear that they wanted a school that focused on more than just academics. While most schools spoke only about marks, ranks, and results, what stood out about Apeejay School, Sector 15, Faridabad was its emphasis on overall development; co-curricular activities, life skills, and holistic growth.
In a candid interview, the homemaker, Aarushi Kapoor, shares that positive feedback from people she knew reinforced her decision to choose this school for Aadi, who is currently in Junior KG
How would you describe his learning experience so far?
We are extremely satisfied with the learning environment. His class teacher gives him appropriate attention, and everyone in the Pre-primary Wing, from teachers to support staff, knows him. The moment he enters the school, he feels safe and recognised, even by the guards at the gate. It truly feels like a caring, homely environment, and he actually looks forward to coming to school.
Are the teachers approachable?
Absolutely. His class teacher has been with him for the last two years. She is very approachable, caring, and attentive to his learning needs. Whenever there’s a concern, she reaches out to us, and I can contact her anytime through a call or WhatsApp.
How does the school support learning and assessments?
The feedback system is effective. Even though my husband is busy, he regularly receives updates, so we’re always aware of what’s happening. Homework is minimal and meaningful, and during holidays, the teachers encourage children to enjoy their time rather than burdening them.
How does the school ensure your child doesn’t fall behind?
Their feedback system is very effective. My husband regularly receives updates from the teachers, so we always know how Aadi is doing. The teachers immediately let us know if he needs extra attention or support, which is reassuring.
Has your child shown any particular interest in activities?
He enjoys all the activities at school, especially the Sports Guru activity classes. His teacher even shared that my son often volunteers first, which is not something he used to do earlier.
What changes have you noticed in your child?
The biggest change is in his confidence. He used to be very shy in his previous school, but here, every child is encouraged to participate, whether it’s stage performances or sports day. Regular practice and gentle pushing by the teachers have helped him grow immensely. He’s now eager to perform and often asks when his next stage performance will be.
