‘My son wishes to become an IT engineer’

This Apeejay School, Faridabad parent speaks about his son’s progress in class 12

Jujhar Singh is a class 12 student at Apeejay School, Faridabad Sector 15. He is a non-medical science student and wishes to become a computer science engineer in the future. The Head Boy of the school, he was also the General Secretary in the recently Model United Nations (MUN) Conference. Speaking with his father, Mr Ripujit Singh, we learn about the student’s academic and co-curricular progress at the school and how his engineering preparations are going on.

How is Jujhar doing at the school?

He is doing fine. He needs to improve a bit more in his academic performance. However, his overall performance is very good. He is participating in all the extracurricular events in school. This sometimes takes his focus off academics. But his all round development is going very well.

Which activity does he love the most?

He is participating in everything at the school. He is in the school basketball team and last month only, they went for the district level tournament. He was also the host of his school’s annual day.

Which stream has Jujhar taken?

He has taken Science and is an engineering student.

Which subjects does he like and which does he find difficult?

He loves Physics and Math. I think his hand is a bit tied in Chemistry. But I am confident under the guidance of his teacher he will improve on that. 

And how are the teachers doing? Your feedback?

They are all very good. They are ever approachable and readily clear students’ doubts. Whatever help my son wants in any subject, they always guide him well.

Are you satisfied with the school environment?

It is very progressive and good and I am totally satisfied with their progress in the last few years. 

What career aim does Jujhar have?

He wishes to become a computer engineer and work in the IT sector. 

Does he see himself working in a big firm in Bangalore or Gurgaon someday?
