Aryaveer Banga is a class 9 student at Apeejay School, Rama Mandi in Jalandhar. He recently took admission in the school. His parents are quite happy with Ayaveer’s performance in school. In an engaging interview, the mother, Mrs Simmi Banga, speaks about his son’s progress at the school, love for science and passion for astronomy.
Read edited excerpts:
How has the school lived up to your expectations?
The first thing I noticed was that the Principal, Mr A K Sharma is very approachable. We, as parents, can freely go and talk if we have an issue. This is not the case in other schools. Mr. Sharma is a very nice and helpful person.
How have the teachers been performing?
They are very nice, truly. I would like to say some words of praise for the Vice-Principal, Mrs Aarti Bhatt. She is very warm and encouraging. I also have a small suggestion or feedback for the teachers. In addition to the theoretical homeworks, they can give more and more practical work to students as those will help in boosting their enthusiasm to explore, learn and grow.
Has Aaryaveer adjusted well in school?
It took him a little bit of time in the beginning, but gradually he adjusted well. He has a good group of friends and some from even the senior classes. He is happy and doing well.
What are his favourite subjects?
He wants to become an astronomer, hence his favourite subjects are Science and Math. He has always been a top scorer in both these subjects since childhood, with marks like 97, 98. He is very good in both these subjects.
What about his skills beyond academics?
He is interested in basketball, but I’m afraid he is not a skilled player yet. My son is more into studies.
So we can conclude that experience in the school has been good so far?
Absolutely! My son is growing from strength to strength and is enjoying himself as well as studying hard.
