What are you doing now after passing out from school?

After graduating from Apeejay, I am pursuing English (Honours) from Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi University. Additionally, I’m exploring opportunities to delve deeper into social issues that resonate with me. The solid foundation laid at Apeejay has been instrumental in helping me excel in these areas. I’m excited about the potential these experiences hold for my future.

What does your typical day look like?

I am juggling academics with my other commitments. Mornings usually start with classes, followed by meetings for societies I’m part of. I spend a good portion of my day working on content, planning events, and collaborating with teams. Evenings are often reserved for catching up on assignments, reflection, and sometimes, a bit of relaxation with a good book. My current read is The Bride of Lammermoor by Walter Scott.

Share any nostalgic memories from Apeejay.

One of my most cherished memories from Apeejay revolves around our annual MUN Conferences. It was one of those events where the entire school would come alive with excitement and creativity. I vividly remember the months of preparation, the brainstorming sessions with the team, and the thrill of putting together the conference. Whether it was working, decorating the school hallways, or staying back late to complete the preparations; those moments were filled with laughter and a strong sense of community. The sense of pride we all felt when everything came together perfectly on the day of the MUN is something I’ll never forget. It wasn’t just about the event itself, but the bonds we formed and the lessons we learned. These experiences have stayed with me, almost like a reminder of the joy of being part of something bigger than myself.

What’s your biggest takeaway from Apeejay?

The most significant takeaway from my time at Apeejay is the understanding that education is not just about academic success but about holistic development. Apeejay encouraged me to explore a wide range of interests, from academics to extracurricular activities, allowing me to discover and nurture my talents. This emphasis on a well-rounded education taught me the importance of balance — balancing academic rigour with creative pursuits, individual growth with teamwork, and ambition with empathy. This holistic approach has been a guiding principle in my life, influencing how I approach challenges and opportunities. It’s a philosophy that I carry with me.

How were the teachers at school?

They weren’t just teachers, but true mentors who took the time to understand each student’s strengths and areas for growth. I remember how they would go the extra mile, whether it was staying after class to help with difficult concepts or providing personalised feedback that motivated us to improve. What stood out most to me was their guidance, which was not limited to the classroom. The impact they’ve had on me is profound. I am forever grateful for the conducive environment I got to grow in.

What are your dreams and goals?

My dream is to build a career where I can combine my passion for communication, leadership, and social impact. I envision myself in roles that allow me to spearhead initiatives that drive positive change, whether through strategic content creation, public relations, or leadership positions within organisations that align with my values. Ultimately, I aspire to lead with purpose, ensuring that my career is not just about professional success but also about making a lasting, positive impact.

Any message for the school students?

Explore and experiment. This is something I would like to say to the students. Don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone, because that’s where the most meaningful growth happens. It’s not just about excelling in studies but also about discovering who you are and what you’re passionate about. Take the time to explore different interests, build relationships, and learn from every experience. And most importantly, be kind to yourself- frankly, this is just as crucial as knowledge and skills.

How did Apeejay help you hone your skills?

I can confidently affirm that Apeejay was the cornerstone of my skills. The doors opened for me, have motivated me to push my limits and explore new avenues. The environment at school was always encouraging. Some teachers and peers constantly taught me the importance of teamwork, adaptability, and resilience. The lessons I learnt here have had a lasting impact, shaping not just my academic journey but also who I am as a person.
