My Mother — My Magic, My Home, My Hero

Published

on

Some people live in big houses. Some in small. But I live in the warmest place on Earth — my mother’s arms.

She was the first person I saw, the first voice I heard, and the first hand I ever held. Even now, in Class III, her hand still feels like home.

My mummy doesn’t wear a superhero cape or fly in the sky, but she does things no superhero can. She makes my sadness disappear with a hug, finds everything I lose — books, pencils, and even my confidence — and makes me brave with just her voice. When I’m scared of thunder, she tells me it’s just the clouds playing drums!

Every morning, she wakes up before the sun. Before I even open my eyes, she has packed my tiffin, brushed my shoes, found my missing sock, and written a little note that says, “You’ve got this!” That note makes my whole day brighter.

Even when she’s tired, she smiles. She helps me with my homework, listens to my stories (even the long, silly ones), and claps for me when I sing — even if I sing off tune. She never gets angry when I spill milk or make a mess. She just says, “Little mess, big heart!”

Sometimes I wonder: Does she have magic powers?

She knows I’m sad even if I don’t say it. She turns pain into comfort with one kiss. She makes me feel safe, even in the dark. I think she is made of love and stardust.

But my mummy is not just mine. She helps my grandparents, feeds the birds, gives food to stray animals, and makes everyone feel important. She teaches me to be kind, honest, and thankful. She says, “Kindness makes you shine the brightest.” And I believe her.

Today, I wanted to give her diamonds or the moon. But I’m only in Class III— so I’ll give her something better: my heart and a promise.

  • I promise to always say “thank you.”
  • I promise to be kind, like her.
  • I promise to hug her tight every day.
  • I promise to try my best and make her proud.
  • I promise to never stop saying “I love you.”

To me, MOTHER means:

  • My sunshine
  • Ocean of love
  •  Teacher of life
  •  Hero without a cape
  •  Ever-smiling
  •  Root of my world

Dear Mummy, thank you for being my first home, my forever friend, and the magic in my world. You are the reason I feel safe, strong, and loved.
