My favourite sport!

I can’t think of any sport better than swimming. I visit swimming pool three times a week which brings me great joy. It’s no secret that we use practically all the muscles of our body when swimming. Swimming is a fun, relaxing activity that fuels brain health and builds strong bodies. It’s great for growing children, since learning to move in the water improves coordination and flexibility. When I was 3, I started swimming as a pass time, but quite didn’t enjoy swimming. My first day in swimming was just like my first day in school- clueless, scared, anxious, excited. My mom managed to persuade me to attend swimming classes. At first, I couldn’t swim and was scared to go into the water. But in a week, I overcame this fear and became much braver and much more persistent during the lessons. To my surprise, I was very quick at learning to swim. Now every other day I attend swimming lessons with pleasure. I have a few swimming buddies. We joke there, have fun and periodically (when our coach permits) play water games with peers. We all must take up swimming as a hobby as it builds confidence, improves our physical and mental health and wellbeing and it is a perfect opportunity to bond with people and be sociable.
