While the importance of the mother is considered more important, the contributions made by the father go unnoticed. Fathers are our rock, who make us feel protected in every situation. When the word father comes to my mind, I can only think of cleanliness and discipline. My Dad is super organised. He always keeps things in place and expects me to do the same, which is a bit difficult for me. We all know fathers work very hard to keep us financially secure and provide us with a super comfy and stable life.

I had no idea about this till one day when I spent half of my day at his workplace. I then realised that fathers are indeed the epitome of hard work and dedication. My Dad works seven days a week with no day off. I feel a bit disappointed at times as my friend’s fathers have an off on Sunday and they spend a lot of time with their kids.

Ofcourse my Dad takes me out on vacations, but I still miss the days of lockdown when my Dad was at home and used to play football, badminton, chess, and other games with me. Although he has a very busy schedule, he still takes time to drop me off and pick me up from school. That is the time I discuss all things related to school in the car when we are getting back home. He is a great listener, which is a quality that few Dads have.

I know if I had a hard day, I can always come to him for a pair of ears. My father is kind and generous. He helps people to whatever extent he can. He has never been strict on my academic performance or on whatever I ask him to buy for me. He will always say that, ”you have a lot of potential and can do a lot more”.Never said no to what I ask to buy, but it just comes with a statement,” Buy if u think it’s worth it”.Most fathers are strict, as I have heard, but my Dad is not. He is just super duper instructive.

Sunday mornings are a bit tough on me as my father will keep instructing me on keeping my shoes clean, arranging my wardrobe, sharing my precious things with my younger sister, and leaving for work. Although I don’t like the instructing part, I love my father the way he is. I just pray to god to always keep him healthy and happy.
