My experience at TV9’s ‘What India Thinks Today’ Summit

The thrill of orchestrating a large-scale event, the adrenaline rush of ensuring seamless execution, and the deep learning embedded in every challenge—I recently had the privilege of being part of the core team that organised the 3rd edition of TV9’s “What India Thinks Today” Summit. This flagship event was an unparalleled experience that not only tested my abilities in event management but also reinforced the importance of meticulous planning, adaptability, and teamwork.

As a student of the Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication (AIMC), I had already been exposed to the nuances of media dynamics, strategic communication, and event curation. However, stepping into the real-world arena with TV9 Network as an Event Executive provided me with invaluable, hands-on exposure.

The summit was an electrifying confluence of ideas, perspectives, and leadership. The highlight was undoubtedly the keynote address by Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who eloquently spoke on the theme “India in the New World Order.” His words resonated with an audience of over a thousand distinguished guests, setting the stage for a thought-provoking discourse.

The event continued with an engaging session featuring Union Minister of Transport & Highways, Nitin Gadkari, who shed light on India’s infrastructural vision and transformative policies. The summit then took an exciting turn towards the entertainment industry, with Bollywood and OTT stalwarts like Vijay Deverakonda, Jim Sarbh, Amit Sadh, and Yami Gautam sharing their journeys. Their insights into the evolution of cinema, the power of storytelling, and the digital revolution in content consumption were truly captivating.

What made this experience even more rewarding was the real-time application of the skills I honed at AIMC. From logistical coordination to guest management, media relations to crisis handling, my academic training played a crucial role in preparing me for the high-pressure environment of a national summit. AIMC’s focus on experiential learning, case studies, and industry interaction ensured that I was well-equipped to navigate the fast-paced world of media events.

Working on such a prestigious platform has reinforced my passion for event management and strategic communication. I am deeply grateful to TV9 Network for this opportunity and to AIMC for laying the foundation that enabled me to step up to the challenge. As I continue my journey in the media industry, I carry forward the lessons learned, eager to contribute to shaping impactful narratives and engaging experiences.
