When opportunity meets preparation, success becomes inevitable—and Pranav Gupta is proof of that. He is a PGDM Finance & Business Analytics student from Apeejay School of Management (ASM), Dwarka, who turned his college experience into a launchpad for a promising career at S&P Global. From leading a nukkad natak to leading client solutions in finance, his story is filled with ambition, learnings, and some valuable advice for students walking the same path. Read edited excerpts:
Pranav, were you campus placed at Apeejay School of Management?
Absolutely! I was campus placed directly from ASM, and I’m currently working at the same organisation—S&P Global.
That’s great! Tell us your designation and what your role involves.
I work as a Client Support Associate in the finance domain. My main job is to cater to client needs—handling financial queries, fetching estimated reports, formulas, company presentations, transcripts, and so on. We connect with clients via chat, email, and calls. It’s fast-paced, but exciting.
And what inspired you to pursue a PGDM course at ASM?
I did my PGDM in Finance and Business Analytics. I chose it because I wanted hands-on, practical knowledge to help with placements. ASM’s focus on real-world skills really appealed to me.
What did you take away from the course—your biggest learning?
I’d say my biggest learning came through exposure—I attended conferences, inter-college competitions, seminars. All of this built my confidence and enriched my resume. That helped me bag the S&P Global role.
That’s great! So how was campus life at ASM?
Amazing! It was full of memorable moments. The faculty was super supportive, and I had a great time with friends. I also participated in Synergy—ASM’s fest—I danced, acted in a street play, and led events. We made memories!
You say the faculty at ASM always stood out?
Definitely the faculty. They were always approachable, solved every query, and really guided us. That kind of mentorship made a huge difference.
Finally—one word to describe your ASM journey?
Transformational. It gave me the confidence and the launch I needed.
